Chapter Seven: Life in Spira.

The Moonflow is a beautiful place. It’s tranquil beauty put me at ease while Rikku and I walked along it’s shore line, talking about various things. She had just finished telling me about the time she had used a Machina to Kidnap Yuna, and how Tidus and Wakka had beat her up to save Yuna. The overall amusement was, that to this day Wakka never knew she was the Al Bhed in the Machina. The story in itself was just another piece to the story of Tidus when he had disappeared four years ago. Yet even though I liked hearing this story, I couldn’t help but wonder about why Tidus was even brought to this place.

Spira confused me. Things were simple, and people seemed to take their time in doing things. Yet, even as I saw people walking along talking happily, and taking in the sights. This place, was a place that seemed to have its own sense of time. A place where the Blitzball Sign for Victory was the sign for a Prayer used by a religion in a not so long forgotten past, by people of a religion called Yevon, which was changed to a new Religion called New Yevon.

Things were changing, and still changing, and people were happy. There was no threat to homes, people, or towns. People loved Blitzball, and various other sports, and even large birds called Chocobo's. It was really a wonderful place, but I missed my home. My Zanarkand, yet, if what was on that sphere and on the others I had yet to view, were telling the truth, then I wasn’t from Tidus’ Zanarkand at all. I was from here, from Spira.

Nothing seemed to be connecting. There were still questions I needed to learn the answers to, and nothing seemed to be leading to what I wanted. It just didn’t make any sense. I guess that was when I started to lose hope of ever getting to where I wanted to be. I was starting to think that perhaps, there wasn’t any real place I belonged.

"You know Tina, you could voice what you’re thinking if you’d like. You’ve been quiet a whole lot lately." Rikku said, her voice entering my thoughts. "I know you may think this place is strange, or odd, or you may even feel alone at times. But seriously. You really should give Spira a chance, let the people, the lands, the Cultures, everything here, sink into your very being. I’m sure, that with time, you’ll see what it is that people like about Spira so much." Rikku said as she smiled and waved at a small man that looked to be no bigger then a two year old child, who went by the name of Tobli.

Tobli seemed to be a very hyper sort of person, he just never seemed to be able to sit down. He was an interesting sort of person, and just watching as the small man earing the hat that looked like a birds head, run back and forth and occasionally tripping on his own feet as if they were both left was rather amusing, but what I found to be one of the more endearing qualitiys of this little, strange odd person was the rate at which he spoke.

It was at a fast rate, and when he agreed with the notion or ideas you had he would say in a very quick and precise manor, Yup, yup. He struck me as a very amusing person.

Rikkiu and I talked to Tobli for a fraction of an hour before moving on up the road through an area filled with tall trees, and sunlight filtering down through the bright green leaves. It was a very peaceful area.

People were walking along the path, and stopping to talk to other people and they all seemed to look so happy and content with their lives. As I watched these people an idea struck me to tell Rikku what I had seen in the sphere. As I told her, she looked at me her face changing to that of curiosity and then suprise. When I had finished the story of what I saw on the first sphere she had sat down on the ground and padded a space beside her saying, "Sit with me. Show me the other spheres." I sat and shook my head.

"To be honest, Rikku. I am afraid of what else are on the other two spheres." I said as I took all three orange Sphere’s out of my pockets. "The first one alone left me feeling all out of sorts. I mean the claims on this sphere are very hard to believe. Yet.." I trailed off as I looked at Rikku, not knowing what else to say. She only smiled at me and nodded her head.

"I know it can be a little unsetteling," She said, "after all the claims that the first sphere made are a little wild, but it could very well be true. This sphere, when one thinks about it, is a part of Spira’s History."

"The thought had occured to me." I said as I fiddled with the other two spheres I hadn’t looked at. "The claims on the sphere are wild, but I am still not sure if I am ready to see what is on them. Something tells me that I’m not ready to learn what secrets these spheres hold."

I looked down at the spheres for a while longer and sighed as I sat down next to Rikku. She was biting her lip in thought and she seemed to have a faraway look in her eyes. After a moment she spoke.

"Well, if you think you’re not quite ready to learn what is on them, I won’t perster you to see. Just promise me one thing. When you’re ready, tell me. I’m curious to see what is on them."

"Alright." I said in a half whisper. "I promise."

I would have said more, but at that moment Rikku’s Communicator on her shoulder buzzed and Cackled with static.

"Rikku." A voice buzzed from her shoulder, which sounded a lot like Brother. "Na oui nayto vun belg ib? Dra udranc fyhd oui yht Dehy pylg uh Pacyet Ecmyht."

"Ahh rumt ouin pnedlrac. E's dnoehk du ryja y dymg fedr Tina." She responded in the same language, seeming to be annoyed as well.

"Rikku! I will NOT WAIT! We are picking you up soon! Get yourselves to the nearest *Boarding Sphere as soon as you can!" Brother exploded, with a burst of static.

"Fine, fine. We’ll be there in Five." She said with a look of annoyance. "Well, you heard him. Lets go." She said standing up and grabbing my hand. "We got to get to a Boarding Sphere as soon as possible."

With that we were running back the way we came, practically flying at a very fast speed. "Rikku! What’s a *Boarding Spehere?" I asked.

"You’ll soon see, she said as we ran past Tobli, and a child standing with a women talking about the newest attraction. Yet as soon as we past them, and reached a bench with a man sitting on it looking up at some white monkey’s above his head, Rikku had stopped running. Pointing at a round blue object with a golden bar around it, pointing at it she explained.

"This is a boarding sphere. They’ve been apart of Spira and Zanarkand for many years. Orginally, we only thought they had healing properties, you could be near death, and one touch to this sphere you would be healed. If you were sick with an ailment such as poison, it would purge the poison from your system, not only that minor wounds would be healed. Quite useful really. Then four years ago, my father Cid learned how to use them to board Airships with a simple thought, granted the closer the airship, the less time it took to get onto it." With that Explanation she touched the Blue shining object and faded from view with a puff of Black smoke. Following suit I touched it as well, and felt first what I would assume the healing properties as the dull ache in my back, from the wounds of the Fiend attack the day before faded, and then remembering Rikku’s explanation I thought about the now familliar Airship Celcius.

It was like a tingling feeling as the sights of the Moonflow blurred and mixed with the view of Rikku hopping onto the lower areas of the bridge of the Airship showed. Soon after the view of the inside of the airship Celcius was more promonint and I found myself standing in the place where Rikku had been standing before.

"Great!" She said as she looked at me. "You got here too. Now all we have to do is wait till we get to Besaid Island. It should only take about a half hour tops. In the mean time, we have two choices. Stay awake and talk some more, or go to the cabin area and get some rest."

It wasn’t that much of a choice. I found myself wanting to stay on the bridge so I could talk more with Rikku, but I didn’t want the other three there to hear what we were talking about. So standing up, I said I would be in the Cabin area resting, and if Rikku wanted to talk with me I could be found there.

No sooner had I left the bridge I started to feel an overwhelming sadness. It was the kind of Sadness that can make a person feel horribly alone. Reaching up to my head I pulled out the yellow hair band that held my hair up in a sever ponytail and pulled it out letting my hair fall about my shoulders.

I was about to step onto the lift when I heard the sliding door leading to the Bridge Open. I turned to see who it was. It was Brother. Smiling I waited to see if he wanted to talk or ask something of me. He rubbed the back of his head and grinned a silly half grin and looked at the ground.

"My, english isn’t that good. I’m still practising, but I wanted to talk to you." He said as he scuffed his shoes on the ground. "It’s about, Your friend. Tidus."

Smiling I motioned for him to come with me, and instead of going to the Cabin area, I opted to go to the deck and when he joined me on the lift I selected the designation and we stood in silence.

It wasn’t an uncomfortable Silence, rather it was a pleasant silence of two people with thoughts on their minds. When the door to the lift opend we both stepped out into the long hallway leading to the hatch and in silence walked towards it.

"So what do you need to talk to me about?" I asked, after we had made our way to the middle of the deck.

"It’s about how you came here. You look very familliar." He said as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked at his feet. "I wanted to ask, if it was true you came from the same place as that guy Yuna liked. One of her Guardians."

"You mean Tidus right?" I asked in turn. To which Brother nodded. "Well yes, I do know him, we practically grew up together..."

The next thing I knew I was telling Brother everything I knew about Tidus, and everything I knew about the Zanarkand we had come from. He stood in silence listening to me, and then asked me something very odd.

"Do you, know about the Dream Zanarkand?" He watched me very carefully after he had asked that, but I never did get to ask what he had meant, for at that moment Buddy’s Voice came through on the Ships speakers.

"Better come on back inside, you two. We’re about to land on Besaid Island now." After hearing that advice we both turned and walked back, in silence. I was about to answer when we hit some turbulance and I ended up falling backwards off the deck of the Bridge.

Little did I know, that the scream I had heard was not only my own, but the mixed cries of Brother and Buddy calling out my name as I fell, weightless towards the shallow waters that surrounded Besaide Island. It was as I fell, that I saw Tidus and the girl, Shawna parting themselves from a Kiss. It was then that I closed my eyes.

I wasn’t even thinking about the impending danger to myself. My mind kept replaying that one solitary scene in my head. I didn’t even know I was Crying.
